Padua is a city of art and culture with a rich historical and architectural heritage. Since 2021, it has been recognized by UNESCO for its 14th-century fresco cycles, a unique collection of masterpieces, including Giotto's famous Scrovegni Chapel, the Palazzo della Ragione, the Cathedral Baptistery, and the Basilica of Saint Anthony.
In addition to this, Padua is famous for its ancient University, founded in 1222, and for its Botanical Garden, the oldest in the world still in its original location, also a UNESCO heritage site.
With its squares, porticoes, and Prato della Valle, one of Europe's largest squares, Padua combines art, science, and tradition in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
